Trip to Kyushu (Day 4)

Day 4 was spent in Beppu!

We visited the Hells of Beppu.
There are 8 but we only visited 5 because it started snowing!
First stop was Chinoike Jigoku (blood pond hell).
I love these foot baths!

With my cute mummy!

We were slightly disappointed as the water was not as red as we expected it to be. We expected it to be blood red but it was more of orange colour? It's the colour of clay.

Next up! Tatsumaki Jigoku!
We bought the ticket for 8 Jigokus for 2000YEN.

The 3rd bath, Oniishibozu Jigoku (mud bath).

 Really love foot baths!

The next 2 baths! Umi Jigoku and Yama Jigoku.
Love the blue water.
Eating these in the cold makes the simplest things taste good.
After the hells, we went for an experience at the sand bath! It was too cold along the way and also no pictures allowed at the bath, I totally forgot about taking pictures. I went to the onsen and sand bath while the rest of my family went to the sand bath only. I still prefer the normal onsen. The sand bath will probably be for those who are too shy to strip totally naked as you are still allowed to wear the yukata to the sand bath. The sand bath was not shiok enough for me. It does not have the kind of heat that I want in the cold weather. The heat is also not sufficient to make me feel less tired after many days of walking. Soaking in the hot water is still the best.

As usual, we KO-ed on the train ride back.
Snacking on the train.

Dinner was settled at Hakata station. There are many shops selling food there so we don't have to worry about not having food to eat. As Hakata station is surrounded by shops, we also have no lack of shops to look at. After dinner every night, we will always take a short walk to the super market/ tokyu hands etc and will always end up buying alot of things.
